Asheville architect, Robert Griffin, designed this wonderful lake house
around the fertile ideas of its owners. The house itself is showcased by
huge cypress trees that form the supports for all of the porches.
Asheville landscape architect, Kirk Alexander, designed and built the
incredible water feature that accentuates the house. Starting above the
house, 500 gallons per minute of lake water cascades into the upper
pool. Several of the boulders in this pool weigh over 30,000 pounds
each. The water then runs under the patio, emerging in a 14' waterfall
and making its way back down to the lake. A stone bridge crosses the
stream part way down, making the path from the house to the lake an
exciting adventure. Over two and a half million pounds of boulders were
brought in from Maggie Valley for the construction of the house and
water features. For MORE information ... CLICK HERE!
